Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bar
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Rachel for letting me take part in this tour and to Isabella for my copy of this book. I have a lot of Isabella’s books on my TBR pile because the covers are always filled with such beautiful delights. I didn’t realise that this isn’t the first book with these two characters. There is enough background to keep you updated but there is that feeling like you missed half a conversation sometimes. I’m definitely going to go back and read the other stories.
River and Alice are a really cute couple. It’s clear that they have been through some ups and downs in the previous book The Cocktail Bar but Isabella has filled in just enough information that you can understand what is going on. I really liked these two and while they may have been rockstars once they are just regular people underneath it all.
Zara and Bruno bring the culinary delights to Twinkle Twinkle Bar. Zara is a chocolate extraordinaire who I wish I lived next door to (although my waist is probably thankful that I don't!). Her chocolate creations had me reaching for my velvisizer to whip up a hot chocolate with all the trimmings! I think I need a daily invitation to the Twinkle Twinkle Bar. Hot chocolate in all its different guises is right up my street. I think I could go every day and find something different to have. I’m not super keen on gingerbread so I would definitely need one of Bruno’s other creations to go alongside my hot chocolate but those little houses for the cup did sound super cute!
I loved seeing different parts of Somerset. I think I need to do a road trip of my own now. I’ve been to Bath and I think I went to Yeovil when I was very young. The little villages sound so pretty I think I definitely need a trip to explore.
