Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using BookStreak ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What BookStreak is

BookStreak is a mobile reading habit tracker built on behavioral science — flexible streaks, compassionate recovery, and identity-based motivation. Core features are free. Optional Pro features (shareable cards, advanced analytics, custom themes) are available via in-app subscription.

2. Google Sign-In and account data

BookStreak offers optional Google Sign-In to create an account and enable cloud backup. By using Google Sign-In, you authorize BookStreak to receive:

We do not access your Google Contacts, Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or any other Google service. We do not share your Google account information with third parties for advertising or analytics.

3. Privacy and your data

Your privacy is fundamental to BookStreak's design. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details. In short: all reading data lives on your device by default, cloud backup is opt-in and encrypted, and we have no ads and no data selling — ever. We use anonymous product analytics to improve the app.

4. User responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your credentials secure, use the App for personal non-commercial reading habit tracking, and not attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the App.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings. All billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by the respective platform. All core habit-loop features remain free permanently — Pro only gates shareable artifacts and depth analytics.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding within BookStreak are owned by Kian Nguyen unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or create derivative works without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

BookStreak is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. We recommend enabling cloud backup as a safeguard against data loss.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kian Nguyen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of BookStreak.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Cloud data is permanently removed within 30 days. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the App.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app message. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be resolved in Vietnamese courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
