Out of Sight
This case was one where right and wrong became blurred. Where black and white became grey,
There was a few things going on in this book. First, we have the murder of a young woman where the MO links back to a case from 30 years ago. Then there is Tobais and his cult. Ex cop Caleb and finally, you have the shiftiness of Sully and the secrets being kept.
The first chapter was explosive and had me so worried for Mack! We then flick back and find out what was happening. I like flicking between different time lines whcih happens a few times in this book.
Mack and her partner Nick, were trying so hard to discover the truth on this one and they were being blocked by so many different people.At first they try to dig deeper into Tobais and his cult, 'The Farm ', but every warrant is turned down. This leads to some questionable behaviour from Mack, which she somehow manages to get away with.
This case was actually very sad and could have been prevented had the truth not been hidden 30 years ago.
It was a gripping story that had me on edge untl the very end.
