This is the 16th book in the Detective Morgan Brookes series but could be read as a standalone.
This time Morgan and the team have picked up a gruesome murder and a missing girl who is desperately running out of time.
Once again Morgan puts herself in danger going off alone. While she has her heart in the right place she stresses me out big time!
Helen has never been afraid to write the gruesome details and the same is the case here. Those poor teenagers really suffered at the brutal hands of the killer.
I really loved catching up with the rest of the gang. Poor Cain is still grieving and I just want to give him a big hug.
I raced through this book in only 7 days which is quick for me these days. I was up way past my bedtime because I needed to know what happened next!
