← Emma's journal

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews After reading book one as part of my work book club we all knew we had to continue the series. I LOVE Grace and I was so excited to jump back in.
I love Mel's writing style. She knows just how to grip you. The pace and tension are just right. She reveals just enough to keep you hooked.
I was so glad not to be Grace in this book because quite honestly I was stumped! I suspected everyone. no one was safe. When the killer was revealed I was surprised, to say the least. This case really got the local area riled up as the killer appeared to be targeting teenage girls and young women. I liked reading the killers POV. Multiple POV are something that I love. It really just helps to bring the world alive for me.
Grace is really starting to come into her own in this book. She is now a trusted member of the team. Her boss has worked out how far he can push her and how much she will push back.
This was an excellent second book and I cannot wait to read the third!
