Emma - Star Crossed Reviews Extraordinary reader

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I am not a regency romance reader. Not at all. I hadn't even heard of The Bridgeton's before Netflix made the series. I also was one of the few people that had no plans to watch it. Well that all changed within a few weeks of the series going out. I've watched the first season about 4 times I think! When I watched season 2 there were lots of people saying there were a lot of changes from the book. Having not read the book myself I thought I would see what they all meant.

I love Anthony. He is devilishly handsome and has a very cheeky personality. From the first moment he meets Kate it's constant bickering and one-uping each other. It was obvious where this would go. I loved the enemies-to-lovers vibe of this book. Kate is a strong female character. I loved her and how she didn't let Anthony walk all over her. She wasn't looking for love but love had other plans for Kate.

Rosylan's narration is excellent. You really feel like you are back in the 1800s. Rosalyn brought them all to life for me. It was very easy to listen and keep engaged in the story.

Looking forward to reading the others.
