Katie and Gav have picked up yet another complex cold case. When this turns out to be much bigger than one missing girl, Katie and Gav find themselves in danger.
This story had many moving parts that all seemed unconnected at first. Once again, Jennifer writes a very twisty, addictive crime thriller. It really seemed like the killer was so under the radar and ahead of the police all this time that he would never be caught. This arrogance, of course, is his weakness.
There were some really nail-biting scenes where I feared for our characters. Jennifer is very good at building the suspense and tension.
