This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews Thank you to Simon and Schuster for my copy of this book. I am ashamed to say I have all of Heidi's books on my TBR but this is the first one I have read. I 'll tel you now though it won't be the last.

Anna has an aversion to all things Christmas and specifically secured the job at Wynthorpe Hall to avoid the dreaded season. But when the prodigal son returns and Christmas is all a go Anna finds herself sticking around for the holiday season rather than running away.

I really liked Anna. She is damaged but I think deep down she just wanted to be loved. I felt I could really connect with Anna. We both shared an experience at about the same age that unless you have been through its difficult to explain to others.

I really loved the Connolleys. Angus and his antics really made me laugh. The two grandchildren Hugo and Oscar were also hilarious I love the innocence of children at their age.

I loved Wynbridge and only wish it was a real place. I also loved the afternoon in Norwich too. I know I'm going to be bumping the other Wynbridge books up my TBR list in the new year.

I really enjoyed Heidi's writing style. She had me crying on one page and laughing on the next. I read the bulk of this book in one evening I just couldn't tear myself away.

This book will mos definitely put you in the festive spirit and chase away and bah-humbug feelings you have lingering.
