Seaside Embrace
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this tour. As you all probably know I am a big fan of Melissa's books and I was excited for another trip to seaside.
We first meet Jana in Seaside Nights. When Sky and Sawyer go to Undercover for a few drinks. Here we first see her attraction to Hunter. Jana is a strong independent woman. She knows what she wants and she finds a way to make it work. She wanted to box so she got her brother to train her. She wanted to sing and dance so she learnt how to do so at just 8 years old. She works hard but she also plays hard. Jana was humiliated in her past and now she trusts no one with her heart. The only problem is her heart is falling harder and harder for Hunter while her head is telling her its a bad idea.
Hunter Lacroux is a gruff, demanding rough and ready man. Like Jana he knows what he wants and finds a way to get it. That is until Jana. His heart falls for her but she challenges him to be romantic. Hunter is definitely not the romantic type. Don't get me wrong he's a great guy and he'd do anything for the people he cares about but he just doesn't get the whole romance thing. I really enjoyed Hunters attempts at being romantic and they just made me fall a little hard for him.
It was great to catch up with the rest of the seaside gang especially to see the little babas. I love how they are so accepting and envelope a new person with such love and loyalty.
This book is a great addition to the Seaside series and I can't wait for another dose of Seaside fun.
