Addy is a strong, determined, independent woman. She hates being told what to do. She doesn’t need anyone else to make decisions for her.
Jake is a 6ft 3 hunk who spends his days volunteering in Search and Rescue missions.
Jake and Addy have been denying the feelings they have for each other for months. Jake’s brother is marrying her bestie Gabby. Addy doesn’t do relationships and she doesn’t want to make their gatherings awkward.
Jake hasn’t been with a woman for months, with only Addy in his thoughts he can’t even look at another woman. But every time he propositions her she turns him down.
After Gabby and Dukes wedding Addy and Jake let their guards down and spend the night together but it’s only one night and it won’t change anything.
I really enjoyed reading about Addy’s trip. It truly showed how brave and determined she is.
It was really great to see Duke and Gabby and Trish and Boone’s weddings. I love seeing previous books characters in the new stories.
This story was perfect for these two characters and I can’t wait to see what Melissa brings next.
