Five Years From Now
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I've had this book on my TBR pile for quite a few years so when I was looking for a book for my work's book club I thought this would be a great pick. I have read many of Paige's books before and I have enjoyed almost all of them so I was looking forward to seeing how this one turned out.
I loved Nell and Van. I thought they were really great characters. Nell is a character that looks for the positive in things. She tries to surround herself with things that make her happy despite all the tragedy in her life.
Most of this book is set in Cornwall but with a bit in Australia. Paige's descriptions of the locations really make you feel like you are really there. It was a great way to escape the lockdown in the UK.
I love the concept of this book, The whole 5 years from now this will seem like nothing idea. I loved the way it was structured that we dipped into their lives every five years. Paige made it very easy for me to keep reading.
I love a book about meeting the perfect person but at the wrong time. This book had that sort of vibe to it. I thought it was beautifully written and had that epic tragic love feeling.
I loved it all except for the ending. From reading other reviews I can see it has left people very divided. I understand it to a certain extent but the epilogue just didn't sit right with me.
