Behind Closed Doors
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I've had this book on my TBR pile for a few years and when my works book club suggested it I knew it was the perfect time to bump this up my TBR pile. This is a creepy, dark and twisted psychological thriller.
Jack and Grace appear to have the perfect marriage but if you look a little deeper you'll see that it's all a lie. Jack is not the man he seems. I felt that Grace was a little naive and jumped into life with Jack far too quickly. Jack is a sadistic, manipulative piece of work. I won't go into all the details but there are some really horrific scenes in this book. Ones that will break your heart and thank your lucky stars you aren't with a Jack. There are some small parts of this book that seem a bit unbelievable but on the whole, I could see this happening.
This book had a good pace. I was really hooked and read it very quickly. I really liked the time jumps. we started off with the present and had the past woven in with flashbacks.
If you like a real creepy psychological thriller then this one is for you!
