As They Lay Sleeping

Poor Madison just wanted one normal day for her wedding, but of course, that couldn't happen!

So much happens in this book. After the postponed wedding due to a shooting and Brody running off for a few days, Madison then catches an awful case where a mother and daughter have been killed. This one really got to me as I have a young child. I just kept thinking about that poor innocent girl.

The case was complex, with a lot of different layers. At first, nothing seems to fit and then slowly the pieces start to come together. This story broke my heart a little. So much pain that just wasn't necessary.

This was another gripping page turner from Wendy. If you haven't read this series then I would highly recommend it.
