How does Bardugo make a SECOND heist even more intricate than the first? Every character gets their moment — Jesper's arc with his father, Wylan's quiet bravery, Nina and Matthias breaking my heart in ways I did not consent to. The plotting is absurdly tight; every chapter ending makes you gasp. And that Kaz moment at the end where he reaches for Inej without his gloves? I am deceased. Six of Crows was the setup; this is the masterpiece.
