I resisted SJM for so long because the hype felt overwhelming, but this book earned every bit of it. The Beauty and the Beast bones are there but Maas makes it her own — Feyre's journey from survival mode to love to sacrifice is so well-paced. Under the Mountain was genuinely harrowing. Tamlin is... well, I have thoughts that I know the later books will validate. The world of Prythian feels endless. Already have ACOMAF on my shelf.
