Threshing Day

40 pages

I’ve just finished Mira’s and Xaden’s stories, and I really enjoyed both! 🐉🖤 Even though I already knew which dragons they bonded with from the main series, it was still exciting to discover how it all happened. Xaden’s was definitely my favourite, though! His story felt so much more intense, especially with the danger surrounding his dragon. I loved seeing that ruthless side of him again. It’s so good getting to experience more of this world!

What a start! 🖤 I’ve just finished Brandon’s story, and I’m already loving being back in this world. It didn’t take long at all to get drawn straight back into the dark atmosphere that made me love the first book so much. I was a little worried about whether returning to this world would feel the same, but so far, I’m really enjoying it! I’m excited to see what the rest of Threshing Day has in store. 👀

This section has definitely pulled me back in! 👀🖤 Trial seven was one of my favourites, and watching Ophelia finally kill Cade was SO satisfying. What a piece of shit! 😂 I loved the psychological aspect of her facing her worst fear afterwards. And FINALLY, her and Blackwell are back together! The reunion with Genevieve was also so satisfying after everything she’s endured. My reading pace had slowed recently, but I’m definitely hooked again and excited to see how it ends!

Phantasma by Kaylie Smith I absolutely loved this book! From the dark gothic atmosphere to the supernatural elements, the romance and the deadly trials, Phantasma had so many things I enjoy in a story. Ophelia was a brilliant main character. I loved her personality, her necromancy and the way she handled everything thr…

I really enjoyed Broken Heart. It was fast-paced, had plenty going on and kept surprising me as the story developed. I did struggle a little with the beginning because of the cheating element, and it took me until around halfway through to properly settle into the story. Once I did though, I became much more invested,…

I liked this, but I don’t think I connected with it as much as I expected to. The beginning was definitely the strongest part for me. The kidnapping and survival aspect was incredibly dark and uncomfortable, and I was genuinely invested in Cora and Dean getting out alive. I also appreciated that the story didn’t treat…

At this point I am completely attached to this series. 😂🐉 I loved being back with Violet, Xaden, Tairn and Andarna, and after the ending of Iron Flame I desperately needed to know what was going to happen. I loved how much bigger everything felt in this book. There was more exploring, more of the world outside of wha…

I’m still really enjoying Phantasma, although I’ve definitely noticed my reading pace slowing down a little. It’s not that the book has dipped in quality or that I’m enjoying it any less, because I’m still invested in Ophelia, Blackwell and everything happening within Phantasma. I just haven’t been reaching for it quite as often as I was at the beginning. I’m hoping to get back into my nightly reading routine because I’m still really curious to see how everything unfolds!

I am absolutely loving this so far. The whole concept of Phantasma, the different trials and the darker supernatural world are exactly the kind of fantasy I’ve been wanting. I really like Ophelia as a main character, and I think Blackwell is such an interesting character alongside her. Their relationship has added another layer to the story without taking away from the actual plot, which is something I really appreciate in romance. I’m also getting increasingly suspicious that there is a LOT I don’t know yet. 👀 There are so many little details that feel like they could become important later, and I’m trying to work things out without overthinking absolutely everything. 😂
