Daphne and Miles are both dumped by their exes (who leave them for each other) and end up as unlikely roommates. The premise is peak rom-com and Henry executes it with her signature sharp banter and slow-burn tension. What elevates it is Daphne’s arc — she’s a people-pleaser who learns to want things for herself, not just in love but in life. The lakeside setting is dreamy. Not Henry’s strongest (that’s still Beach Read) but still better than 90% of the genre.
