Another great addition to the series!

Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via netgalley. This is the 9th book in the series but could be read as a standalone.I am a huge fan of this series and really love Nikki and her team. The team have worked together for a long, long time and work like a well-oiled machine. They trust each other andThis case was a scary one. It was brutal, especially as a new mother myself. I struggled a bit with the motive on this one. I didn’t really understand why the murderer was killing these women.I really liked the story and found I was racing through page after page before I knew it, I was over halfway through the book. It was gripping, and the stakes were very high.We got a bit of personal life from Nikki in this one but I would have liked to see a bit more. I like that Nikki wasn’t punished for being a working mother and an FBI agent by her family which does happen in other stories. Rory is very supportive as is Lacy.This was an excellent addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next book!

If you are looking for a fast paced, gritty, heart pounding crime thriller then this is for you!

Despite not looking forward to this one it actually turned out to be one of my favourites from the series. The romance was a slow build but very solid. I was desperately looking forward to Elioise's story after finishing this one.

This book is about love, the family you are born with and the family you choose. If you are looking for a heart warming love story with a lot of spice then this is one for you.

If you have been following the series from the beginning there are also developments on Ellie's personal life that I am hopeful will be unravelled in the next book.

This is the 7th book in the Detective Dan series but all can be read as standalones.I am a huge fan of Detective Dan and this was another exciting installment. As always with Anna-Lou's books there is a lot more at play here than it first seems. She is very good at creating a deeper story underneath the initial crime. Anna-Lou does an excellent job of weaving in multiple POV and flashbacks into the story, creating both tension and suspense from beginning to end.Both Darcie and Dan are characters you can really root for. You want them to succeed. You want Darcie to be rescued and Dan to get to go on his family holiday. A story full of twists and turns that will keep you hooked all the way to the very last page.

If you are looking for a story full of twists that will have you doubting everything then this is one for you.

Aven has written another wonderful love story full of wit and charm. You easily fall for these characters and enjoy watching their journey. If you are looking for a sports romcom which is heavy on the romcom and light on the sports then this is for you!
