Emma - Star Crossed Reviews Extraordinary reader

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This is the 13th book in the Josie Quinn series. Josie has come a long way since that very first book. While Josie is still reckless and as badass as ever. However, she does have more regard for the rules nowadays. Josie is still carrying a lot of grief and it comes across as to just how painful that is for her. I absolutely loved the last scene of the book which really shows you how far Josie has come. It might have even brought a little tear to my eye.

When one of their own goes missing the police take it very personally and will always stop at nothing to find them. As the case progresses more and more is discovered about Amber's past and I don’t think anyone would have guessed that the PR officer had such a dark past.

As usual, Lisa kept me right on the edge with this one. I was tense and so nervous for Amber and quite frankly all of the team. Lisa isn’t afraid to put some of our favourite characters in danger which of course stresses me out!

This was a thrilling addition to the series! Josie Quinn is one of my all-time favourite detectives and I cannot wait for her next story!
